111111 began as a series of private correspondence between architects, writers, and naturalists who sought refuge from accelerated urban life. We realized that existing travel publications had surrendered to ephemeral trends, influencer checkpoints, and sponsored lists.

We chose another path. We commission longform essays from authors who reside in their subject regions for months. We photograph with analogue discipline and natural lighting, honoring the authentic atmosphere of rain, fog, dusk, and timber.
